Source is Amanda Arbogast Forbes research and family group reocord with
references to her named as daughter in her father's will in 1844 and comment
that she probably left Virginia, since not on the 1820 or subsequent census.
Her marriage bond indicates she was 21. Copy of her marriage certificate in
file, married by Otho Wade.

Moved to Champaign Co., OH, Adams Twp. Seven children recorded including two
unnamed daughters born in 1821 and 1825.

Notes:

MARRIAGES: Second wife, Elizabeth, 1805. May have been married more than two
times, had 17 children. Henry remained in community of father, Dry Run, near
Crabbottom, now Blue Grass, VA. He may have inherited or otherwise acquired
his father's homestead because his descendants owned the property as late as
1971 per Amanda Crawford Arbogast Forbes research.

According to History of Highland Co., Virginia, by Morton, the Wade family
came from Maryland to Virginia about 1780. The parents of Sophia are not known
however she is the granddaughter of John Wade (1723-1815) and Sophia (Howard)
Wade (1727-1816) who came from England to Maryland, to Augusta Co., Virginia
about 1780. Sophia (Wade) Arbogast's birth and death dates are approximated
from available information.
