Grandpa was born in a log house that at one time was used as a corn crib.

In 1995, Grandpa got sick and was put in a nursing home. His memoryfades. The apparant illness was small strokes that did not allow oxygento go to his brain.

In March 2000, Grandpa fell and hit his head. He died of subduralhematoma (complications due to the fall).

Grandpa was a truck driver for Hayes Freight Line. He then went to Young Radiator for 20+ years. This is where he retired from.

Vernon married Margaret Opal Arbogast on 4 Jul 1935 in Clark Co., IL. Margaret (daughter of Date Lee Arbogast and Jennie Johnson) was born on 22 Nov 1913 in Clark Co., IL; died on 14 May 1984 in Gays, IL. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

Margaret died due to a car accident. Her head went through the windshield. Some had run the yield sign (out in the country) and broadsided her.
