Family moved to Lewis Co., VA (now WV) from Highland Co., VA about 1860.
His brother, Adam, Jr. relocated to Lewis Co. about the same time, as did many
other families about this same time - to Upshur Co. as well. Brother, James
moved to Upshur Co.

of Daniel, most likely the son of James from a marriage or union prior to his
