Information from family group record of Amanda Arbogast Forbes. Isaac was
eldest son and named in will of father, see Highland Co., VA History by Morton.
Isaac was living nr Columbus, OH in early 1800's, 1824 moved to Madison Co., IN
and his wife died there in 1825. In 1839 he moved to Bond Co., IL and died
there leaving a wife, Roenna, his second.

According to family group records of Lana (Tevis) Griffin of Falls Church,
Virginia, a descendant, Isaac's first wife was from Scotland and died in 1825
at Madison Co., Indiana; name unknown. The last name of Isaac's wife is
recorded as Gum to facilitate recording the children. Lana's records in file
also indicate Roenna's last name as Fletcher. Isaac had 16 children, 9 by his
first wife and 7 by his second, Roenna Fletcher

Griffin of Falls Church, Virginia with dates and places of childrens birth has
enabled us to get the children in closer order of birth. This was sent by
Wilma Guthrie, and later supplemented by Lana Griffin.

Jacob married Dorothy "Dolly" Arbogast in 1780/1790 in , Augusta, Virginia, United States. Dorothy (daughter of Michael Arbogast and Mary E Samuels) was born about 1765/1769 in Crabbottom Sect., Augusta Co., Va; died about 1839 in Pendleton Co., Va/Wv. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Records of daughter, Mary, indicate Michael had two wives. Considering all
available information, Mary was probably his first wife, Elizabeth his second.

Naturalized in Augusta Co., VA, 22 Aug 1770, #117, Chalkleys Abstracts, Vol.
I, p. 161.

Records of Dr. Dunham indicate the possibility of another son, Joseph, b. 1769
based on information from tax records, d. 1820 based on information in Morton's
Pendleton Co. History. The Peter Arbogsast who married Henry Arbogast's daughter also not placed.

"Take Wimer Mountain road from Blue Grass, at the intersection with Hardscrabble road, continue north on Wimer Mountain, go approximately 3/10 mile. On the left will be a pond. The two rocks marking the graves are on the right side of the road. The graves sit almost in the fence row, if the grass is high its difficult to see them from the road. "

History of Pendleton (Highland Co.), by Morton, indicate Mary as wife. First
public document found by Amanda Crawford Arbogast Forbes on wife of Michael is
a deed in 1791 from Michael and Elizabeth to one of his sons. Elizabeth's
signature appears on deed, documents, etc.

property to Michael Armingcost. This area is now Blue Grass, Highland Co., VA.

531, 560. Page 195, citing Will Book VI, records appraisment of the estate of
Barnet Lance by Peter Hull, Jno. Gum, Sr. and Michael Armengash, 20 Sep 1791.
In other books, Michael's sons married into the Hull and Gum families, so they
were probably neighbors.

Only Mary's given name is on record, her full name has not been proven by documents at this time.
