From THE JAMES PAPERS. Date of death and place are unknown after he left his
family in 1926 and went to Florida. All efforts to locate him were
unsuccessful. He was the oldest child of Joseph and Matilda. He worked in the
lumber busines with his father in Columbus, OH and Bellevue, MI. During WW I
he was in construction work in Chillicothe, OH. Following the war his main
occupation was in real estate.

Louis married Edna Stewart Petticrew on 12 Jun 1902 in Springfield, Clark Co., Oh. Edna (daughter of Orin Lewis Petticrew and Annie Eliza Mc Bride) was born on 23 Aug 1875 in Springfield, Clark Co., Oh; was christened on 12 May 1878 in First Lutheran, Springfield, Oh; died on 20 May 1956 in Springfield, Oh; was buried on 22 May 1956 in Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfiled, clark, Ohio, United States. From THE JAMES PAPERS. Raised by her grandmother, Matilda Arbogast Mc Bride
following the death of her mother. Following her marriage she lived in
Springfield, OH for a few years, then Columbus, OH where her children were
born. The family moved to Bellvue, MI for a short time then returned to
Springfield. Beginning in 1947 she lived with her son, Theodore Burton James
in Howe, Franklin and Clarksville, IN. When her son moved to California in
1955 she returned to Springfield and lived in a nursing home until her death in

Annie (daughter of Jacob Copenhaver Mc Bride and Matilda Arbogast) was born on 20 Jun 1854 in Logan Co., Oh; died on 23 Apr 1877 in Springfield, Clark Co., Oh; was buried in Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfiled, clark, Ohio, United States. This record is copied from family group records of Rev. Theodore B. James, a
retired Presbyterian Minister of Colorado Springs, CO and descendant of this
line. Includes Jacob's parents. Hereafter referred to as THE JAMES PAPERS.

Rev. Mc Bride was a sawyer in 1850 and living with his mother, Mary (Way) Mc
Bride in Springfield, OH. Details of his becoming a United Brethren minister
are not known. He lived in Logan Co., OH when his children were born. He was
an itinerant preacher. Later the family moved to Springfield, OH.
