    The Jane Barnes Papers indicate year of death as 1814 since there was a public
    auction of his property on 6 Sep 1814. Jane also lists two land warrants for

    1814, 3 Jul 1794, 85 ac on Crabbottom. Jane also confirms data from others but
    indicates James was born in 1761 or 1762.

    Records of daughter, Mary, indicate Michael had two wives. Considering all
    available information, Mary was probably his first wife, Elizabeth his second.

    Records of Dr. Dunham indicate the possibility of another son, Joseph, b. 1769
    based on information from tax records, d. 1820 based on information in Morton's
    Pendleton Co. History. The Peter Arbogsast who married Henry Arbogast's daughter also not placed.

    "Take Wimer Mountain road from Blue Grass, at the intersection with Hardscrabble road, continue north on Wimer Mountain, go approximately 3/10 mile. On the left will be a pond. The two rocks marking the graves are on the right side of the road. The graves sit almost in the fence row, if the grass is high its difficult to see them from the road. "
