Barbara's notes indicate Silas' original will is in the Logan County
Genealogical Society files. Silas lived in Clark Co., OH, (Cincinnati, OH, land
office records 28 Jan 1835, Range 8, Twp. 12, Sect. 32) before he moved to Logan
County. Logan Co. formed 1818 from Champaign County. Silas tombstone standing
and inscription legible. The cemetery is on a hill overlooking the Miami River
Valley a few miles from the farm where he lived most of his life. Birth
records were not required in the early 1800's in Ohio.Silas married Hanna Coulter on 10 Apr 1816 in Champaign Co., Oh. Hanna was born about 1797 in Mason Co., Ky; died on 21 Jul 1850 in Bloomfield Twp., Logan Co., Oh; was buried in Hodge Cem., Bloom Center, Logan Co., Oh. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
