- On 1850 census of Randolph Co. as living in household with Elizabeth Arbogast,
age 18 who is a child of John and Mary Arbogast and later married Oliver Teter.
Jean Snyder Loudin family records indicate this was Matilda's home, originally
her fathers, Richard Ware w/m Mary "Polly" Wilson.
Cemetery is about 100 yards from the main Ware Cemetery at Mingo on Ware's
Ridge along with two of her sons. There were other children. Matilda's first
born is William Madison Ware per Carolyn F. Bodkins. Matilda had 5 children
out of wedlock, most probably with Moses Arbogast whom she later married. The
children are William, Amanda V., Eugenius M., Hiram Valentine, and George R.
Ware, per C.R.Leary file.
