      married while on re-enlistment leave from the Union Army. Includes parents of
      spouse. Nicholas was a Sgt., 26th Infantry, Illinois Volunteers. The Colaw
      Book contains the operations of this regiment during the Civil War. Nicholas'
      name is inscribed on a bronze tablet in the Illinois Monument at Vicksburg, MS.
      This book contains a wedding photo of Nicholas and Elizabeth, and a wealth of
      other excellent photographs of Colaws and allied families, including the author
      and her family.
