  BIRTH: Pendleton Co., VA/WV Birth Records, also 1860 & 70 Census of that County. Not on 1880 Census of that County so probably left. Named in father's will dated 1898 and listed as deceased in obituary of brother Jacob in 1932, in file of Amanda Arbogast Forbes RIN 489 from which this was copied. NOTE: He may be the James Arbogast on 1880 Lewis Co. Census, age 25, with wife, Helen, age 22, both born in VA. The name, Helen, may have been misintrepreted for Elvira or Helvis. There is a Lewis Co., WV Marriage Record for a James C. Arbogast and Elvira McCloud which is believed to be this James C. Arbogast. No children are listed on the 1880 Census since they had not been married very long.
