on 1880 census.
MARRIAGE: Records of John Arbogast, a nephew and son of Elijah J. Arbogast,
lists Mary Jane as marrying Mathew Helmick which corresponds with Pendleton Co.
Marriage Record for a M.J. Arbogast, age 33, who married Helmick, age 27 in
1883.
On 1880 Census under Joseph and Prudence Arbogast family was a grandchild,
Harness Teter, age 7. It appears that a daughter of this family married a
Teter. Mary Jane, daughter, was listed on 1870 census but not on 1880 census,
which suggests that she may have been the mother of Harness Teter but no
marriage to a Teter can be located. Child could belong to another daughter of
Joseph and Prudence Arbogast.
Glenn Huffman research, Mary had 5 children, 4 living in 1900; 5, 3 living in
1910. Daughter, Tallahassee, b. 1884, with them in 1900; granddaughter, Verna
May, age 13, and Mary's father with them in 1910.
