  Source is Amanda Arbogast Forbes research and family group records in file. According to History of Highland Co., Virginia, by Morton, the Wade family came from Maryland to Virginia about 1780. The parents of Sophia are not known however she is the granddaughter of John Wade (1723-1815) and Sophia (Howard) Wade (1727-1816) who came from England to Maryland, to Augusta Co., Virginia about 1780.
