  Information from a family bible kept by her father or another member of the family. Marriage recorded Alleghany Co., MD. Found on 1850 Census of Highland Co., VA. The Grays moved to Oldtown, Mc Lean Co., IL in the fall of 1855. In 1859 they moved to Lexington, IL. A biography of Dr. Gray was published in 1879 in, History of Mc Lean County, Illinois, by Wm. Le Baron. Book in possession of the Lexington, IL Genealogical Society. According to the book Jane Caroline had 7 children with 5 living in 1879. Two must have died young. The five children are listed with the spouse of the first three along with several dates as shown. Dr. Gray married again following Jane's death. This marriage is recorded. The second wife was a widow.
