Halterman, survivor of brother, Thomas D. in Sep 1932. See Thomas D. Arbogast obituaries in file. Reconciliation of all children of Adam and Elizabeth Arbogast indicates strong probability that this child is the Amanda E. on birth record, Manda E. on 1880 census and Maude E. Halterman on brother, Thomas D. Arbogast, obituary. There were 5 Highland Co. births and 9 Lewis Co. births recorded for a total of 14. Census of Lewis Co., WV 1880 indicates 13 children not including Henry, born 1973 and who probably died before the census, thus not included in Thomas D.' obituary either; for a total of 14 children. Obituary lists 12 surviving siblings including Maude E. Halterman (a.k.a. Amanda E. and Manda E.). Assuming Wm. M. as well as Henry died before the obituary, this would also account for 14 total children. This is my best estimate from the information available - C. J.
