  1900 census as Jasper, Mingo Dist., Randolph Co. b. Mar 1871 WV, age 29. Source is Beverly (Hamrick) Kenney family records. Jasper was killed by lightening that came in to the kitchen where he was standing with his hand on a pitcher pump. The bare bulb above his head proved to be the perfect conductor. Information as related by his son and my uncle, Clarence. From James J. Arbogast.
