  Source is an ancestor chart by Helen J. Gasch of Sandpoint, ID, appearing on page 34 of Volume I, Ancestor Charts, published by the Allegheny Regional Family History Society, 1993, plus supplemental information from Helen. Big Run is about 4 miles from Dry Run, the HOME PLACE. Big Run is where Helen's grandfather had a grocery store and post office. It was called Mullennex, WV, prior to 1900. In 1860, family is in Dry Fork Dist. of Randolph Co. Not certain when they returned to Pendleton Co. In 1870 the family was back in Dry Run, Pendleton Co. In 1880 John Wesley was "commuting" between Randolph and Pendleton Cos. He is listed in both places; Randolph Co. with a housekeeper, Catherine Simmons, 24, and in Pendleton Co. with his wife and family. In 1884 or 85, he had a son, John Ward Mullennex, born to Ellen Teter. John Ward married in 1904 to Mary Elizabeth Teter in Randolph Co. They had two sons, he left her before 1910 and migrated to Canada where he married Sophie M. Hoehne. About 1926 they migrated to La Grande, Union Co., OR, where their 7th child was born. In later life, after Sophie died, he married a widow in Baker, OR, Erma ____?. In 1885, John Wesley took a common law wife, Molly Johnson. They had two daughters, Vernie, b. May 1885, and Sallie, b. 5 Feb 1887, at Gandy, Randolph Co., WV. Vernie m. 1st, Wm. Harrison White in 1904. They had a daughter. Her second marriage was to Morgan Cochran. They had a son and a daughter. Sallie m. Charles Mullenax in 1904. They had 5 children. Lived at Hambleton, Tucker Co. Sallie died 29 Nov 1971 at Margantown, WV, buried at Mc Neely Cem. One of their sons, John Jefferson Mullennex, served in the WV Legislature. About 1898, John Wesley marrried Verdie Roy, age 18 or 19, in Randolph Co. A daughter, Bessie was born, 3 Jul 1900, but only lived a few months. Son, James Lee, was born, 21 Jun 1901. Virdie died giving birth. James Lee married Alice McDaniel in 1928 in Texas. In 1903, John Wesley Married a 16 year old, Alice Teter. A copy of their marriage record is on file. They had two sons, Lee, b. 20 Mar 1904, and Earl, b. 1906.
