• Notes

  Randolph Co. death records, died 1891 age 76, wife of Henry, daughter of D. M. and Mary. Confirmation from family records of Sylvia (Taylor) Gum of Green Bank, WV, in file. Although Randolph death records show her parents as D. M. and Mary, they are almost certainly incorrect. The death was reported by her father (unlikely). The most logical explanation is that her death was reported by her son D. M. Perhaps he reported the birth of his daughter Mamie (born in May 1891 in Randolph) and death of his mother in September of 1891 at the same time and the clerk simply duplicated the information.
