Louis came with his parents from Indiana to Fulton Co. in 1854, and to Mc
Donough Co., IL, in 1856 where his parents died. In 1865 he removed to
Farmington, IL, and thence in 1870, to Salem Twp. where he located on Section
19. His farm, 3 mi. south of Douglas, contains 320 ac. of land, known as the,
Lone Birch Stock Farm. He has been an extensive raiser of stock, principally
Short Horn cattle and Poland China swine. County Assessor, Director and
School Trustee, and dealer in fruits.Louis married Ester E. Potter on 18 Feb 1875 in Galesburg, Il. Ester was born in in Salem Township, Knox Co., Il; died on 22 Feb 1911. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
