In 1970 Thelma and John lived on the east side of Canton, OH, Kenneth and Norman were deceased, one boy lived in PA, and one in Bridgeport, OH. Norma married a Sponaugle, Thelma married Ralph Walters. Abel's widow married Charles Bennett. In addition to the unnamed oldest son, the children listed are Kenneth, Ivy (m), Norma, John, Leona, Virgil, Betty, Thelma, and Charles.	arbo

Also page 19, Indian Spy, 1776 or 1777; page 22, Pvt., Capt. Peter Hull's Co. during Yorktown Campaign, 1781; and, page 148, Muster Roll of that Company in 1779. See Pocahontas Co. History, by Price. Adam relocated to headwaters of the Greenbrier River, now Pocahontas Co., WV, in 1796. Several pages devoted to Adam and his family. Birth 1759/60 from Rev. War Pension Applications. Marriage and death date from A. Arbogast Forbes Papers in file. Will recorded in Pocahontas Co. Will Book 3, page 4, copy in file. Jacob Hull Arbogast is named as son in all histories but was not in will. Will probated in June 1852 term of Court, actual date of death unknown. PHOTO OF TOMBSTONE IN FILE INDICATES 1760 BIRTH. Amanda Arbogast Forbes (AAF) research includes papers of Wilma Harper, 1850 and 1880 Census of Pendleton County, Court Records and County histories. AAF Record "A". Ref: WBH; tombstone marked 1760-1861 by WBH in about 1940. She later said that 1861 was her error. Granddaughter Hulda (Arbogast) Yeager said that he died before she was born (in 1858). Was married near Hevener's Store. Received second eyesight before he died accoding to legend.	arbo

Then finally to Coontie's Fort where troops were called in consequence of the Indians killing a white woman while she was spreading hemp in a field...... Volunteered 1778 as Indian Spy under same Captain and marched on to Warm Springs, whence he, together with George Hull, John Gum and Conrad Fleisher were ordered to Crabbottom to guard that locality and remained there the rest of his time....... At another time he marched from his home (now Highland) across the Greenbrier River to head of Seneca in pursuit of Indians.	arbo
