12174 | The burial site of Joseph and Delilah are unknown at this time.---A note from James E. WooddellJoseph was born near present day Green Bank, Wv but the exact location is unknown. In adulthood he apparently lived on his father's property on the South Fork of Deer Creek (Rosin Run) as records do not reveal any real estate in his name. It seems probable his residence was on the 28 or 30 acre tract willed to Joseph's heirs by his father, Thomas Wooddell.Joseph was elected to a two year term as Constable in the Upper District of Pocahontas County on 6 Jul 1841. Less than one year later, on 6 Jun 1842, Henry Arbogast, Delilah's brother, was granted a certificate for obtaining letters of Administration on the estates of Joseph Wooddell, deceased. the cause of his death or the circumstances surrounding it have never been determined. The children of Joseph and Delilah were all born on the South Fork of Deer Creek. All five sons served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. Three of them gaves their lives for the caused they believed in.End of note source: http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:723384&id=I11 | Wooddell, Joseph (P19314)
