Mentioned in the letter are: Captain Ewing = Captain Chatham T. Ewing, Battery G, 1st Regiment West Virginia Light Artillery Charles = I assume to G.W. Arbogast?s brother, Charles Wesley Arbogast (b. 17 Dec 1841, d. 11 Aug 1864 in Andersonville Prison) Xerox copy of letter given to Jo Lori Drake by Ivan Sutton. Further, Enos only had one child by his second marriage to Sophia (Dunning) Shaw, Mary the wife of Truman Stark, Des Moines, IA. Sophia is the daughter of John M. Dunning and Sarah Wampler. This record also states that Enos only had five children from his first marriage, Louisa, Lewis, Ella, Myra and Millie. It does not state these are surviving children in 1899.
