Rockel, Biographical Publishing Co., Chicago, 1908, pp. 803-804. Mr. Arbogast
was educated in Springfield schools, was a wood turner, then a member of a
partnership operating saw mills. In 1901 be was appointed Assistant County
Treasurer, in 1904 elected County Treasurer and reelected in 1906 to a term
which expires in 1909. Mr. Arbogast, in 1908, was also Treasurer of
Springfield Township, the only successful Republican in the past election. He
is also a teller for the American Trust and Savings Co. in 1908. A member of
the Masonic Lodge, he attained the degree of Knights Templar. Also a member of
High Street M. E. Church and the YMCA.
