No pension record found. No record of imprisonment at Andersonville according to Oliver Wendell Arbogast who has checked records and has videotape of old prison and burial site of Charles W. Arbogast, Pvt., 1st Rgt., WV Lt. Artry. Died 11 Aug 1864. Enlisted at Beverly, WV, Randolph Co. He was son of Solomon Arbogast and Nancy Nottingham, grandson of Benjamin Arbogast, Sr. and great grandson of Adam Arbogast. Michael Arbogast is believed to have died as a result of the war.
