  Peter Pelham "Pelly" Daniel, son of Sydnor Daniel (born about 1836, died about 1881) and Elizabeth Jane "Bettie" Cordle (born July 1838, died 18 December 1909) was born in Brunswick County, Virginia on 1 June 1871 and died of a celebral hemorrage on 19 September 1923. Peter married Cora Louise Pritchett, daughter of David Pritchett (Civil War soldier) and Susan Louise Daniel, on 18 January 1898. Cora was born on 24 November 1876 and died on 26 August 1909. Children of this marriage were as follows: 1) Preston Pelham Daniel (born 21 January 1899, died 7 March 1968) married Dossie Virginia Williams (born 10 May 1900, died 18 October 1964). 2) Harvey McCadden Daniel (born 10 September 1861, died 15 February 1966) married Mildred Irene Rapier (born 12 December 1908, died 11 August 2004). 3) Lillie Lucille Daniel married Joseph B. McCool. 4) Mabel Virginia Daniel (born 3 November 1905, died 6 May 1991) married George T.
