From a paper by Cheryl Arbogast, daughter of Keith Arbogast and Granddaughter
of Peter Dilley Arbogast, dated in 1982 in which she writes about a trip east
from California in search of her Arbogast roots. According to Cheryl, Jane is
the daughter of James and Jemima (Gillespie) Tallman. James Tallman is the son
of Benjamin Tallman, Sr. and Dinah Boone, a sister of Daniel Boone.
Note from Amanda Forbes that James Tallman first married Nancy Crawford in
1790, and 2nd, Jemima Gillespie in 1807. Includes date of death and cemetery.
Jane received pension about 1878 as widow of Soldier of War of 1812, also
bounty land.
