  Co-Author with his wife, Katherine, of "Mulanax - Bales Family Histories", 1980, the source of this information. Alvin was a University Professor and served in the U.S. Army for four years during WW II in the Advocate Generals Department, Special Services. The family lived in Leavenworth, Kansas, Hot Springs, Arkansas, Abilene and Manhattan, Kansas. Alvin taught in the Business College of Kansas State University at Manhattan for 30 years before retiring. According to letter from Katherine Mulanax on 6 Jan 1993, Alvin received his Bachelor and Master degrees in Economics and Business at Kansas State University and attended Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio for several years toward a Ph.D. in Marketing.
