  Lived in Kansas and Grant Co., Oregon. Also resided 14 years at Ritter, OR, and, as a boy, near Cold Springs, Umatilla County, OR. Came to Oregon with his parents by train arriving 3 Jul 1888. Transcript in file from a Walla Walla, WA, newspaper 28 Dec 1923. Ira had lived in Lowden for about 3 years, coming from Ritter, OR. He died at the home of J. E. Gallaher, 315 South Third St., at 1:55 p. m., after an illness of two months with dropsy. Survived by same children as in obituary of spouse, plus six brothers and two sisters; Mrs. Eva Brinkley, Alaska; Ora Arbogast, Central Point, OR; Era and Roy Arbogast, Pasco; Asa and John Arbogast, Ritter, OR; Henry Arbogast, Cottage Grove, OR; and, Mrs. Fannie Hughes of California.
