Addie is daughter of William Richard Leppo and Melissa Evaline (Mc Kinley)
Jones, Benbow, Arbogast (married twice previously). Addie came to Oregon with
her parents, brother James, and sister Annie, by covered wagon from Kansas,
starting 22 Apr 1883, and arriving at Helix, OR, in October. Further details
in file. Transcript of her obituary in file from a Pendleton, OR, newspaper of
14 Jun 1950. Addie's parents lived on a ranch between Holdman and Stanfield,
then known as Foster, OR. Following her marriage to Ira, they ranched in
Umatilla and Grant Counties, OR. Member of United Bretheren Church and Rebekah
Lodge of Echo. Surviving sons and daughters are: Evert R. Arbogast, Elgin;
Ernest H. H. Arbogast, Pilot Rock; Elmer L. Arbogast, Dale; Mrs. Edna F.
Mulkins, Hermiston; Mrs. Edith I. Lesman, Milwaukie; Frank O. Arbogast, La
Grande; Mrs. Alice A. Burnette, Irrigon; M. Ira Arbogast, Ukiah. Another son,
Ethan S. Arbogast died at 18 months. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Annie
Warren, Chesaw, WA; 23 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
